General Entry Requirements

  • All passengers entering Indonesia must complete the All Indonesia electronic arrival card within the three-day period before arrival. A separate arrival card must be issued for each passenger.

Visa-Free Entry Requirements

  • The passenger must hold a national passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in Indonesia. A return ticket or a transport ticket showing onward travel from Indonesia to another country must be presented.

E-Visa Application Requirements

  • The e-visa application is made through the official electronic portal. The applicant must first create an account, select the travel purpose and appropriate visa type, fill in the information required by the system, and upload the documents for the relevant visa type electronically. The document list may vary according to travel purpose, visa index, travel document type, nationality, and sponsor status. The personalized checklist shown in the application system must be followed.
  • When creating an account, the travel document type, the biographical data page of the passport, photograph, first and last name, gender, place and date of birth, telephone number, passport issuance and expiry dates, issuing country, and email address are entered. Visa on Arrival Requirements

  • The B1 visa on arrival can be obtained at the immigration point upon arrival in the country or can be issued as an electronic visa on arrival before travel. No sponsor is required.
  • The passenger must present a passport valid for at least six months. Acceptable documents other than a national passport, such as a temporary passport or emergency passport, must be valid for at least 12 months. Stateless persons and persons using a titre de voyage, certificate of identity, laissez-passer, and similar documents cannot apply for a visa on arrival.
  • A return ticket or a transport ticket showing onward travel from Indonesia to another country must be presented. An onward ticket exception may apply for certain crew members entering to join a vessel.

Consular Visa Application Requirements

  • Certain Indonesian visit visas can also be obtained through Indonesian embassies or consulates. Whether applications are accepted, the appointment method, whether the applicant must appear in person, and the local document list vary according to the relevant diplomatic mission.
  • The application form must be completed in full and signed by the applicant. The form asks for planned entry and exit dates, duration of stay, entry point, number of entries, travel purpose, main destination, sponsor information, personal information, occupation, address, contact information, passport type, passport number, issuance and expiry dates, previous travel to Indonesia, prior entry refusal or deportation, and criminal record information.

  • Applications of children under 12 years of age or persons unable to sign the form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.   • The central basic requirements for the C1 visit visa are: a passport valid for at least six months, at least 12 months validity for acceptable documents other than a national passport, a bank statement for the last three months, financial resources of at least 2,000 US dollars or equivalent, and a recent color photograph.
