Visa-Free Entry Requirements

• Andorra does not require its own entry visa for short-term visits. A valid passport or, depending on the traveler's situation, a valid national identity card that is accepted must be carried upon entry.
• The maximum permitted stay as a tourist is 90 days. Persons wishing to stay longer, work, study, or reside must apply for the relevant Andorran immigration permit.
• Andorra can only be reached by land via France or Spain. Therefore, the traveler must also meet the conditions applicable for entry into, exit from, and re-entry into the Schengen area via France or Spain, in addition to Andorra's own entry conditions.
• A traveler subject to a Schengen visa must have a valid Schengen visa with at least two entries or multiple entries, depending on the travel itinerary. Since travel to Andorra can be considered an exit from the Schengen area, a traveler who crosses into Andorra with a single-entry Schengen visa may not be able to re-enter the Schengen area.
• If traveling to Andorra once and returning to the Schengen area, a two-entry visa may be required; if making multiple crossings between Andorra and the Schengen area, a multiple-entry visa may be required. The required Schengen visa must be obtained from the competent embassy or consulate of France or Spain, depending on the itinerary, not from Andorran authorities.
• In cases where a valid Schengen visa is not required, entry can be made with a valid passport. Persons entitled to travel with a national identity card may use their valid identity card.
• Due to the traveler's transit through France or Spain, the travel document must also meet the relevant Schengen border rules.
• Travelers subject to a Schengen visa must additionally meet the insurance conditions applicable to the relevant Schengen visa application.
• Minors traveling with their parents, legal guardians, or legal representatives must carry a valid national identity card or a valid passport. The child may, where applicable, be registered on one of the parents' passports; however, this is not a general requirement.
• A child traveling alone or with another person who is not a parent or legal guardian must carry a valid passport. In cases where traveling with a valid national identity card, a written travel authorization signed by the parent, legal guardian, or legal representative must also be submitted.
• The legislation of the country the minor traveler is leaving may require an exit permit issued by the police authority or another competent body in addition to parental consent. The format of the required document, notarization, translation, and whether photocopies of the parents' passports must be submitted may vary according to the rules of the country from which the child starts the journey.
• Andorran authorities may carry out additional scrutiny and document checks regarding the travel of minor passengers.
• It is possible that for travelers covered by the Schengen Entry/Exit System, entry and exit information is recorded electronically and biometric data checks are applied during border crossings via France or Spain. This process is not a visa or electronic travel authorization application conducted by Andorra.
• There is no application form, photograph, visa fee, payment method, visa processing time, or electronic approval document belonging to Andorra; because Andorra does not issue its own visa for short-term visitors.
