About the Arab League
The League of Arab States is a regional organization founded in Cairo in 1945 to bring Arab countries into a common diplomatic framework. Its membership spans the Middle East, North Africa and the Horn of Africa, giving the organization a broad geographic and political scope. The League provides a forum for consultation, coordination and collective positions among its member states. This page uses that institutional grouping to compare passport mobility without changing the Passport Reports methodology.
The Arab League works through summits, ministerial meetings, councils and specialized bodies that address political, economic, cultural and social cooperation. Its role is not to issue passport scores, but its member list offers a clear regional lens for comparing travel mobility. The countries included here are treated as one defined group while each passport keeps its own central mobility record. That separation keeps the organizational context distinct from the ranking calculations.
The Arab League ranking view compares only passports from League member states, while the global view keeps each passport’s worldwide position visible. Every figure comes from the central Passport Reports records, including visa-free access, visa on arrival, eTA access and visa-required destinations.
