Passport Reports Disclaimer and Limits of Liability

This page explains the informational scope of Passport Reports, the limits of passport and visa data, user responsibilities, and why official travel requirements must always be verified.

Scope and acceptance

This Disclaimer applies to the passportreports.com website, the mobile applications operated by Passport Reports, the application versions distributed through Google Play and the App Store, and all related pages, country reports, passport rankings, visa-requirement content, maps, tables, comparisons, historical data, links, visuals and other digital services. They are collectively referred to in this text as “Passport Reports” or the “Services”.

By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read and understood this Disclaimer. It should be read together with the Passport Reports Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Data Licence and any other legal notices published through the Services. You must not use the Services if you do not accept any of these provisions.

Independence and official status

Passport Reports is an independent passport-ranking and international travel-information platform. It is not owned, operated or controlled by any state, government, ministry, immigration authority, border agency, embassy, consulate, international organisation, airline, travel agency or visa application centre. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or sponsored by any such body.

A link to a country, public authority or official source does not mean that the relevant body endorses Passport Reports, that Passport Reports acts on its behalf or that any official relationship exists between the parties.

Informational purpose

All content made available through the Services is provided solely for general information, research, comparison and reference. Nothing published by Passport Reports constitutes legal, immigration, consular, visa, travel, investment or citizenship advice, or an official opinion tailored to a particular person.

Passport Reports does not submit visa applications, issue travel authorisations or passports, approve border crossings or influence decisions made by public authorities. No information in the Services guarantees that a visa will be granted, that a carrier will allow boarding, that transit will be permitted, that entry to a country will be authorised or that a traveller may remain for any stated period.

Passport rankings and Mobility Score

Passport Reports rankings are comparative data results produced under the platform’s published methodology. Unless stated otherwise, the Mobility Score represents the total number of destinations accessible to holders of an ordinary passport for short stays without a visa, with a visa on arrival or with an electronic travel authorisation. Ranking and tie-breaking rules are explained on the Passport Reports Methodology page.

The rankings are not official government classifications and do not determine the legal value of a passport, the personal qualities of its holders, or the political importance, economic strength, safety, quality of life or international standing of any country. A ranking position must not be used as the sole basis for decisions concerning citizenship, residence, investment, migration, travel or finance.

The position assigned to a passport does not mean that every holder may enter the same destinations on identical terms. Historical rankings and archived records reflect the data available for the relevant period only and do not create a current right to travel.

Visa and entry requirements

Visa exemptions, visa-on-arrival arrangements, electronic travel authorisations, eVisas, transit rules, permitted lengths of stay, passport-validity requirements, health documentation, vaccination rules, proof-of-funds requirements, onward or return ticket conditions and other entry rules may change without prior notice.

Any classification shown as visa-free, visa on arrival, electronic travel authorisation, visa required or admission refused is a general categorisation based on information Passport Reports was able to access and assess at the relevant time. It is not a promise that a particular traveller’s application will be approved or that entry will be granted.

Not every permission obtained electronically is an electronic travel authorisation. Depending on the country, a digital process may legally constitute an eVisa, pre-clearance, travel registration, entry form or another type of permission. Its legal character, application procedure and conditions of acceptance are determined by the official rules of the destination concerned.

Traveller-specific conditions

Travel requirements may vary according to nationality, passport type, issuing country, residence status, age, purpose and duration of travel, transit itinerary, port of entry, carrier, onward or return ticket, accommodation, financial means, health circumstances, previous travel history and any other factor considered by the competent authorities.

General information published for ordinary passports may not apply to diplomatic, service, special, official, temporary, refugee, alien or emergency travel documents. Information relating to tourism may not cover employment, study, family reunification, residence, investment, journalism, research, religious activity or another specialised purpose of travel.

Possession of a visa or travel authorisation does not create an unconditional right of entry. Decisions concerning boarding, transit, admission at the border, permitted stay and removal remain within the exclusive authority of airlines, carriers, border officers, immigration authorities and other competent bodies.

User verification responsibility

Before making any booking, payment, visa application or travel decision, users are responsible for verifying all relevant information directly with the destination’s official immigration authority, embassy, consulate, authorised visa centre, operating carrier and any other competent institution where necessary.

Passport validity, blank-page requirements, visa or authorisation requirements, transit rules, health and vaccination documentation, travel insurance, permitted stay, restrictions on employment, onward or return tickets, proof of funds and conditions for travelling with children should be checked again immediately before departure.

A “last checked”, “last updated”, publication date or similar date shown by Passport Reports does not mean that the information has remained unchanged since that date. A record being marked as checked does not guarantee that every official source has been exhaustively reviewed or that the competent authorities will not subsequently alter their rules.

No warranty of accuracy or completeness

Passport Reports applies reasonable research, review and updating processes with the aim of keeping its content accurate, clear and current. Because international travel rules change frequently and sometimes without advance notice, however, no guarantee is given that all content will at all times be fully accurate, current, complete, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

Errors, delays, omissions or inconsistencies may arise in data transmission, source interpretation, classification, translation, dates, country names, permitted periods, links, calculations, software, display or other technical processes. Official sources may conflict with one another, and a change introduced by an authority may not appear on Passport Reports immediately.

Passport Reports may correct, update, reclassify, expand, restrict or remove any content without prior notice. A later change to a ranking, score, status or report does not by itself mean that the earlier publication was prepared inaccurately or in bad faith.

Travel and financial decisions

Before paying for flights, accommodation, travel packages, insurance, visa fees, advisory services or any other product or service, users should review all cancellation, amendment and refund conditions. Users remain responsible for bookings, applications, payments and other actions taken in reliance on Passport Reports content.

Passport Reports is not responsible for visa refusals, refusal of a travel authorisation, denied boarding, refused transit, refusal at the border, removal, overstay, fines, lost reservations, ticket changes, accommodation costs, loss of income or similar consequences.

Third-party sources and links

The Services may contain links to public authorities, external websites, application systems and other third-party services. These links are provided for convenience and to help users reach potentially relevant sources.

Passport Reports does not control the content, security, availability, data practices, application procedures, fees or service quality of third-party websites. The presence of a link does not mean that all linked material has been verified, endorsed or guaranteed.

Use of a third-party website is governed by that party’s own terms and privacy policy. Before following a link or submitting information, users should verify the domain name and identity of the service provider. Passport Reports is not responsible for data loss, fraud, malicious software, payment problems or other harm arising on third-party websites.

Maps, country names and political depictions

Country names, regions, flags, maps, borders, continental groupings and regional classifications used by Passport Reports are presented solely for data organisation, comparison and general information.

Such depictions do not express recognition, rejection or endorsement by Passport Reports of any state, territory, border, administration, sovereignty claim, diplomatic status or international dispute. Placement within a continent, region or thematic group is not a legal or political statement.

Google Play and App Store applications

The Passport Reports mobile application is made available through Google Play and the App Store. Its listing or distribution on either platform does not mean that Google, Apple or any of their affiliates endorses, approves, verifies or sponsors Passport Reports, its ranking methodology or its content.

Google Play and the App Store are independent distribution platforms. Downloading, installing, updating and using the application may be subject to the applicable terms of the store, operating system and device manufacturer in addition to this Disclaimer.

Passport Reports does not guarantee uninterrupted or complete compatibility with every device, operating system, screen size, network connection or software version. Store changes, review procedures, access restrictions, distribution delays, regional limitations, account measures or temporary or permanent removal of the application may be outside Passport Reports’ direct control.

Temporary differences in content, appearance, functionality or update timing may exist between the website and the mobile application. Critical travel information should always be checked again against official sources, regardless of when it was viewed in the application.

Google, Google Play and Android are trademarks of their respective owners. Apple, the App Store and iOS are likewise trademarks of their respective owners. References to these marks are solely for identification and do not imply partnership or endorsement.

Technical availability and security

Passport Reports uses reasonable technical measures to help keep the Services secure and available. No internet or mobile service can, however, be guaranteed to operate without interruption, delay, error or security risk, or to remain accessible at all times.

The Services may be interrupted temporarily or permanently because of maintenance, updates, server problems, internet failures, cyberattacks, third-party service outages, device incompatibility, data-transfer issues, force majeure or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Passport Reports.

Passport Reports may modify, suspend or discontinue particular features, pages, language options or application versions without prior notice. Users are responsible for the suitability and security of their own devices, internet connections and software.

Translations and language differences

Passport Reports content may be made available in multiple languages. Although translations are intended to remain accurate and consistent in meaning, differences of interpretation may arise from grammar, terminology or differing update times.

Where language versions differ, the current official information published by the relevant public authority takes precedence for travel requirements. In the event of inconsistency between language versions of Passport Reports legal texts, the English version prevails unless expressly stated otherwise.

Intellectual property and third-party rights

The Passport Reports name, logo, original designs, data presentation formats, texts, visuals, tables and other content may be protected under applicable intellectual-property laws. Flags, coats of arms, institutional names, trademarks and other signs belonging to third parties may be used solely for identification and information and remain the property of their respective owners.

Use of a third-party mark or institutional name does not imply partnership, representation, sponsorship or endorsement by the relevant rights holder.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Passport Reports is not liable for direct or indirect loss arising from the use of, inability to use or reliance on the Services, including loss of data, income, profit, opportunity or reputation; travel costs; lost reservations; visa refusal; denied boarding; refusal at the border; legal action; penalties; delay; or any comparable consequence.

This limitation also applies to claims arising from errors or omissions in content, delayed updates, third-party links, technical failures, mobile-application issues, store or operating-system changes and events outside the reasonable control of Passport Reports.

Users are responsible for decisions and actions based on Passport Reports content. Correcting an issue, providing support or issuing an explanation does not amount to an acceptance of any broader warranty or liability.

Mandatory rights reserved

Nothing in this Disclaimer is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer rights and liability that cannot be restricted under applicable law, including in relation to fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury where relevant, remain unaffected.

If a limitation of liability is held invalid in a particular jurisdiction or in relation to a particular user, it will be disapplied only to the extent legally required, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Changes

Passport Reports may update this Disclaimer to reflect changes in law, the scope of the Services, data practices, mobile applications, store rules or operational requirements. The revised text takes effect when published on this page.

Users should review this Disclaimer periodically. Continued use of the Services after an update means that the then-current text has been read and understood.

Severability

If any provision of this Disclaimer is held wholly or partly invalid, unenforceable or void, the remaining provisions will not be affected. The invalid provision will, to the extent permitted, be interpreted or replaced in a manner that most closely reflects its original purpose.

Failure by Passport Reports to exercise a right in a particular instance does not constitute a permanent waiver of that right.
