Advertising Policy
Passport Reports Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
This page explains the rules for advertising, sponsorships and commercial partnerships across Passport Reports, including content standards, prohibited categories, transparency and advertiser responsibilities.
For advertising, sponsorship and commercial partnership enquiries concerning the Passport Reports website, our mobile applications available through Google Play and the Apple App Store, or any of our other digital publishing channels, please contact us at info@passportreports.com.
SCOPE OF THIS POLICY
This Advertising and Sponsorship Policy applies to advertisements, sponsored content, brand partnerships, promotional placements and commercial communications appearing on any page published under the passportreports.com domain, in mobile applications operated under the Passport Reports brand, in notifications, email communications, social media accounts and any other digital publishing channels that may be introduced in the future.
This policy is binding on advertisers, advertising agencies, media-buying organisations, affiliates, advertising technology providers, sponsors and all other individuals or legal entities seeking to publish commercial content on Passport Reports. Submitting an advertising enquiry, delivering advertising materials, placing an order or launching an advertising campaign constitutes acceptance of this policy.
Passport Reports applies this policy to protect brand safety, user experience, editorial independence, legal compliance and platform security.
EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE AND TRANSPARENCY
Advertising on Passport Reports is clearly separated from editorial content, passport rankings, mobility scores, visa requirements, methodology, data assessments and other informational material.
Advertising on Passport Reports by an advertiser, sponsor or commercial partner does not grant that party any right to alter a country’s ranking, mobility score, visa classification, data record, editorial assessment, visibility or position under the methodology. No ranking advantage, data alteration, favourable assessment, editorial privilege or misleading exposure is provided in exchange for advertising expenditure, sponsorship or a commercial relationship.
Paid or commercial content may be labelled “Advertisement”, “Sponsored”, “Promotional”, “Partnership” or with a similar disclosure so that users can understand its nature. Users must not be misled as to whether content is independent or commercial.
Passport Reports does not endorse the opinions, claims, products or services of advertisers. Publication of an advertisement does not mean that Passport Reports guarantees, recommends or vouches for the advertiser, product, service, organisation or campaign.
AD ACCEPTANCE AND PRIOR REVIEW
All advertisements, sponsored content and commercial partnerships may be reviewed by Passport Reports before publication. The review may consider legal compliance, accuracy, technical safety, impact on user experience, brand suitability, relevance to the intended audience, visual materials, destination links and the advertiser’s field of activity.
Passing prior review or having been published previously does not guarantee future publication. Passport Reports reserves the right to accept or reject any advertising request, seek additional information or documents, require changes, postpone publication, impose restrictions, suspend a campaign or remove it entirely.
Except where required by applicable law or a written agreement between the parties, Passport Reports is not obliged to explain why an advertising application has been rejected. Publication does not relieve the advertiser of its responsibilities and does not constitute a guarantee that the advertising content complies with the law.
ADVERTISING THAT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Passport Reports does not accept advertising that breaches applicable law, circumvents the law, misleads users, is harmful, unsafe, discriminatory, exploitative or inconsistent with brand safety.
Advertisements for pornography, explicit sexual content, nudity-focused publications, escorting, prostitution, sexual services, erotic chat or video-call services, adult dating platforms, sexual-performance products, sexually oriented entertainment venues, sex toys and similar adult-only products or services are not accepted.
Advertisements for online or physical gambling, betting, casinos, lotteries, games of chance, betting tips, digital assets intended for gambling, or services that direct users towards games of chance involving financial risk are not accepted.
Advertisements for alcohol, tobacco products, cigarettes, cigars, shisha tobacco, electronic cigarettes, vaping products, nicotine products, narcotic or intoxicating substances, synthetic substances, related paraphernalia, or content promoting their sale or use are not accepted.
Advertisements for firearms, ammunition, explosives, silencers, offensive weapons, unlawful knives, military-grade weapons equipment, or products and services designed to harm people are not accepted.
Human trafficking, the organisation of unlawful migration, counterfeit passports, visas, identity documents, residence permits or citizenship documents, unlawful methods of bypassing border controls, document forgery, the sale of appointments, applications impersonating public authorities and activities amounting to immigration fraud are strictly prohibited.
Content involving hate speech, incitement to violence, terrorist propaganda, extremist organisations, unlawful groups, or the denigration or targeting of people on the basis of race, nationality, religion, language, sex, disability or other personal characteristics is not accepted.
Advertisements involving the abuse, sexualisation, intimidation, manipulation or economic exploitation of children or vulnerable persons are not accepted.
Advertisements for counterfeit goods, imitation brands, stolen goods, unlawfully traded products, content infringing intellectual property rights, pirated publications, unauthorised software or licence sales, or misleading use of another party’s brand identity are not accepted.
Advertisements containing malware, spyware, unauthorised tracking technologies, phishing, password harvesting, unauthorised data acquisition, circumvention of device security, harmful downloads, false security alerts or misleading redirects are not accepted.
Advertisements involving unrealistic earnings claims, pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, fraudulent investment opportunities, unlicensed financial services, manipulative crypto-asset offers, financial campaigns pressuring users into decisions, or unverifiable income guarantees are not accepted.
Advertisements involving unauthorised sales of prescription medicines, unlawful health products, sham treatments, unsubstantiated health claims, dangerous weight-loss products, unlicensed clinics, unauthorised healthcare services or misleading claims capable of influencing medical decisions in a risky manner are not accepted.
Even where a product or service is lawful in a particular country, Passport Reports may reject the advertisement if it is intended for adults, presents a risk to user safety or conflicts with the values of the brand.
SECTORS SUBJECT TO RESTRICTIONS AND ADDITIONAL REVIEW
Additional documents, licences, authorisations or disclosures may be required for sectors capable of influencing important user decisions, including financial services, investments, loans, insurance, crypto-assets, healthcare services, medicines, dietary supplements, legal services, immigration consultancy, education, recruitment, citizenship programmes, residence programmes, property investment and travel services.
Advertisers in these sectors must demonstrate that they hold the required permissions in every country where they provide services and that all statements in the advertisement can be substantiated. Advertisements implying official status or promising guaranteed visas, guaranteed residence, guaranteed citizenship, definite approval, risk-free investment or similar absolute outcomes are not accepted.
Advertisers providing immigration, visa, passport, citizenship or residence services must not create the impression that they are connected with a government authority, consulate, embassy or official application centre where no such relationship exists. Unauthorised use of official logos, state emblems or institutional designs is prohibited.
Passport Reports reserves the right to reject or subject to special review advertisements concerning political campaigns, elections, public-opinion influence activities, religious advocacy or socially sensitive matters.
ACCURACY OF ADVERTISING CONTENT
The advertiser is responsible for ensuring that every description, price, promotion, statistic, comparison, certification, customer review, warranty statement and performance claim in an advertisement is accurate, current and capable of substantiation.
Misleading headlines, concealed conditions, false discounts, fabricated countdown timers, invented customer reviews, imitation news content, unverifiable awards, false expert endorsements and coercive methods that undermine users’ freedom of choice are prohibited.
Any price, duration, service scope or promotional condition stated in an advertisement must be clearly available on the destination page. There must be no material difference between the advertisement and the content or offer on the landing page.
The advertiser must monitor the currency of the information throughout the publication period and notify Passport Reports of any changes without delay.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND RIGHTS OF USE
The advertiser represents that it holds all necessary rights, permissions and licences for the text, images, videos, logos, music, trademarks, customer reviews and all other materials it submits.
Materials that infringe a third party’s copyright, trademark rights, personality rights, image rights, trade secrets or other intellectual property rights will not be published. Passport Reports may request documents or authorisations proving ownership or permission.
The advertiser is deemed to grant Passport Reports the limited permission necessary to prepare the advertisement, adapt it technically, display it across different screen sizes and publish it through the agreed channels. This permission is limited to operating the advertising campaign within the scope agreed between the parties.
The Passport Reports name, logo, screenshots, ranking data, design elements or brand identity may not be used in an advertiser’s own promotional material without prior written permission. An advertiser must not make any misleading statement suggesting that Passport Reports endorses, approves or officially partners with it.
TECHNICAL AND SECURITY STANDARDS
Advertising materials must comply with the file types, sizes, dimensions, performance limits and technical requirements communicated by Passport Reports.
Automatic audio, intrusive video that begins without user action, pop-ups that are difficult to close, misleading close buttons, designs that obstruct the screen, excessive flashing, redirects to pages the user did not choose, automatic file downloads or unauthorised activation of device functions are not permitted.
Destination links must be secure, operational and directly relevant to the advertisement. An advertisement may be suspended immediately if links are redirected to another destination, the domain is changed during the campaign or the destination becomes a security risk.
Advertisements must not adversely affect the security, speed, accessibility, functionality or user experience of the Passport Reports website, the Android application on Google Play, the iOS application on the Apple App Store or any other digital channel.
DATA PROTECTION AND USER PRIVACY
Advertisers and advertising technology providers must comply with all applicable laws governing personal data protection, online privacy, electronic communications, cookies and user consent.
Without the express written permission of Passport Reports, no technology may be used to identify users, collect sensitive data, create device fingerprints, track users across platforms or re-identify Passport Reports users.
Health information, biometric data, children’s data, precise location information, identity documents, passport details, political opinions, religious beliefs and comparable sensitive data must not be collected for advertising purposes or used for targeting.
The advertiser is responsible for data collected on its landing page, the cookies it uses, the forms it presents to users and all related data-processing activity. It must provide users with the required privacy notices and obtain valid consent where necessary.
Passport Reports does not sell its user data to advertisers. Information shared for the measurement of advertising campaigns is limited, wherever possible, to aggregated or anonymised performance data.
PROTECTION OF CHILDREN
Advertisements that directly target children or exploit their inexperience, trust or limited capacity to make decisions are not accepted.
Advertisements that encourage children to persuade their parents to purchase a product or service, normalise dangerous behaviour, create unrealistic physical or social expectations, or present age-inappropriate content are prohibited.
The advertiser must clearly state any applicable age restriction for its product or service and implement the necessary age-verification measures.
SPONSORED CONTENT AND BRAND PARTNERSHIPS
Sponsored content must comply with the editorial language, quality standards and user-benefit principles of Passport Reports. A commercial relationship does not give the sponsor unrestricted control over the content.
Passport Reports does not permit false, misleading, incomplete, biased or manipulative statements in sponsored content. A sponsor may not request changes to independent data or methodology results.
The title, text, images, links and publication format of sponsored content are subject to approval by Passport Reports. Passport Reports may display any disclosure necessary to ensure that users clearly understand the commercial relationship.
THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISING TECHNOLOGIES
Advertising on Passport Reports may be delivered directly, through advertising agencies or through authorised advertising technology providers. Third-party providers may operate under their own terms of service, privacy policies and technical systems.
It may not be possible to review every individual impression delivered through automated advertising systems in advance. Nevertheless, Passport Reports will use reasonable efforts to block advertisements found to breach this policy, restrict the relevant advertiser or sector and implement appropriate technical measures.
An advertisement believed to be contrary to this policy, misleading or harmful may be reported to info@passportreports.com. Reports should, where possible, include a screenshot, the page on which the advertisement appeared, the date and the relevant link.
GOOGLE PLAY AND APPLE APP STORE APPLICATIONS
Advertisements displayed in Passport Reports mobile applications available through Google Play and the Apple App Store must comply with this policy as well as the applicable rules, advertising standards and user-safety requirements of the relevant application store.
Acceptance of an advertisement by Passport Reports does not mean that it will be accepted or approved by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Passport Reports may modify, restrict or suspend a campaign if an application store changes its advertising, content, privacy or technical requirements.
Google Play and the Apple App Store are not parties to the relationships between Passport Reports and its advertisers, sponsors or commercial campaigns. Use of their platform names does not imply that they endorse or approve an advertisement.
AD PLACEMENT AND VISIBILITY
Passport Reports determines the location, size, display frequency, publication period and device-specific presentation of advertisements, taking into account user experience, technical suitability, content layout, screen size and platform requirements.
A specific area, page order, placement or uninterrupted visibility is guaranteed only where expressly agreed in writing. The appearance of an advertisement may vary because of differences in devices, operating systems, browsers, language versions, screen sizes and user preferences.
Passport Reports may resize advertisements, adapt them technically or display them in suitable alternative placements in order to protect user experience or page security.
PERFORMANCE, MEASUREMENT AND WARRANTIES
Impression, click, view and similar advertising-performance data are based on the technical records of the measurement systems used. Differences may arise between data sets because of different analytics systems, filtering methods, time zones, bot-traffic controls or privacy settings.
Passport Reports does not guarantee that an advertisement will generate a specific number of sales, applications, bookings, downloads, customers, revenue, ranking gains or any other commercial result. The advertiser is responsible for making its own commercial assessment of campaign performance.
Temporary variations in delivery may result from technical outages, maintenance, security incidents, internet-infrastructure problems, application-store processes, third-party service interruptions, force majeure or circumstances outside the reasonable control of Passport Reports.
PAYMENT, CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
Advertising fees, payment dates, taxes, campaign duration, materials to be delivered and any cancellation terms are determined in writing between the parties.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, an advertising campaign begins only after full payment has been received and the advertising materials have been approved. Publication may be delayed where payment is late, materials are incomplete, technical requirements are not met or required documents have not been supplied.
No refund may be issued where an advertisement is suspended because the advertiser breached this policy, supplied inaccurate information, created a legal or security risk, or altered an approved advertisement after approval.
Where a material and irreparable publication shortfall is attributable to Passport Reports, the available remedy may, depending on the written agreement between the parties, be limited to additional publication time, campaign credit or an appropriate refund.
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ADVERTISER
The advertiser is responsible for ensuring that the advertisement, the destination page, the product or service offered and all data-processing activity undertaken in connection with the advertisement comply with applicable law.
The advertiser represents that it holds all necessary operating permissions, licences, professional authorisations, intellectual property rights and third-party approvals. Where an application is submitted by an agency, the agency warrants that it is authorised to act for the advertiser.
The advertiser is responsible for the advertising content, its products or services, contracts entered into with users, delivery and payment processes, customer complaints, refunds, data breaches and claims by third parties.
To the extent permitted by law, the advertiser is responsible for claims, losses, administrative penalties and reasonable defence costs incurred by Passport Reports as a result of the advertising content, product or service, infringement of intellectual property rights, breach of data-protection law, misleading commercial practices or violation of this policy.
SUSPENSION AND REMOVAL OF ADVERTISEMENTS
Passport Reports may suspend or remove an advertisement without prior notice where it reasonably believes that the advertisement is unlawful, may mislead users, damages brand safety, creates a technical risk, has become the subject of a complaint or breaches this policy.
Immediate action may be taken in response to a request from a competent authority, a court order, an application-store notice, a complaint by a rights holder, a security threat, a public-safety risk or an urgent need to protect users.
Removal of an advertisement does not release the advertiser from responsibility for earlier breaches or liabilities already incurred towards third parties.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Passport Reports is not a party to the commercial relationship between an advertiser and a user. Transactions with the advertiser, products purchased, services used, payments made and information shared by users remain the advertiser’s responsibility.
To the extent permitted by law, Passport Reports is not liable for failure to achieve an expected commercial outcome, indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of data, reputational damage or consequences arising from third-party services.
Where the liability of Passport Reports cannot legally be excluded, its total liability is limited, unless mandatory law provides otherwise, to the amount actually paid to Passport Reports for the advertising campaign concerned.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Passport Reports may update this policy in response to changes in law, industry standards, technology, application-store rules, security requirements or editorial policies.
An updated policy takes effect when published on this page. Ongoing campaigns may be made subject to the updated policy to the extent necessary for security and legal compliance.
If an interpretive difference arises between language versions of this policy, the version designated by Passport Reports as the governing version will prevail.
