Countries with Visa-Free Access to the United Kingdom

How Do We Rank It?

The United Kingdom Access Ranking compares eligible passports that allow entry to the United Kingdom visa-free, with a visa on arrival or with an electronic travel authorization. The results are re-ranked from 1 among these passports.Global Ranking Methodology: passportreports.com ranks passports by their Mobility Score. The Mobility Score represents the total number of countries that can be entered visa-free, with a visa on arrival, or with an electronic travel authorization. If Mobility Scores are equal, the number of countries accessible without a visa is considered first. If that number is also equal, the number of countries accessible with an electronic travel authorization is considered. If the tie remains, the number of countries accessible with a visa on arrival is considered. If all values are equal, the countries share the same rank. Review the algorithm used in our methodology.

About Access to the United Kingdom

United Kingdom access is presented here as a practical destination filter inside the passport mobility system. The page focuses on passports that can reach the United Kingdom through visa-free entry, visa on arrival or eTA records where the central data identifies such access. This is separate from a general country profile because it answers one precise question about who can enter the UK with reduced pre-travel visa friction. The layout, ranking controls and comparison logic stay aligned with the wider Passport Reports framework.

The list should be read as a filtered ranking, not as a standalone UK immigration guide. Passports qualify for inclusion through recorded access to the United Kingdom, while their order remains connected to the broader mobility score and tie-breaker sequence used across the site. This avoids creating a new rule set for one destination and keeps the comparison stable when central figures change. Readers can therefore compare UK access without losing the context of overall passport strength.

United Kingdom entry rules can vary by nationality, purpose of stay, document type, length of visit and electronic authorization requirements. A passport appearing on this page may still be subject to conditions at the border or to separate rules for work, study, settlement or longer stays. Policy updates can also affect whether an authorization is required before departure. The page is designed for structured comparison, while the final travel check should always use the current official rule.
