About G7
The G7 is an informal forum that brings together Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. The European Union also participates in the work of the forum, while this page focuses on the seven national passports listed by Passport Reports. The group developed from the economic summits of the 1970s and remains a high-level setting for coordination among advanced economies. This passport ranking uses that institutional grouping without changing the Passport Reports scoring method.
G7 cooperation covers economic policy, financial stability, trade, security, technology, energy and climate priorities. The forum does not create a common border, a shared visa area or a unified passport regime. Each member passport therefore keeps its own travel access profile, shaped by separate bilateral and multilateral visa arrangements. A focused comparison makes those differences visible within one familiar group of countries.
