Visa on Arrival Requirements
- A valid national passport or a valid travel document accepted in lieu of a passport must be presented upon entry into Comoros.
- Among the documents required for entry procedures are the original disembarkation form, the original round-trip ticket, the original passport, and the original financial resource document. The traveler must have a valid transportation ticket ensuring departure from Comoros at the end of the permitted stay.
- The maximum permitted duration of stay with a tourist visa is 45 days. The tourist visa cannot be used to work in a paid or unpaid income-generating activity.
- In the central fee schedule, a 24-hour entry visa is free of charge. A visa valid up to 5 days is set at 6,000 Comorian francs, a visa for 6–15 days at 12,000 Comorian francs, a single-entry visa for 16–45 days at 20,000 Comorian francs, and a double-entry visa for the same period at 30,000 Comorian francs. There is a fee of 40,000 Comorian francs for a multiple-entry visa valid for one year.
- Persons deemed objectionable in terms of public order, public health, state security, or the national economy may not be permitted entry into the country.
Consular Visa Application Requirements
- The applicant must have a valid national passport or a valid travel document accepted in lieu of a passport. A transportation ticket ensuring departure from Comoros at the end of the permitted stay must also be available.
- Comoros diplomatic and consular missions may issue tourist, short-stay, transit, diplomatic, and courtesy visas. A tourist visa permits a stay of up to 45 days. A short-stay visa may be issued for up to three months and may be renewed once.
- Applications for stays longer than three months are submitted through the nearest Comoros diplomatic or consular mission to the applicant's place of residence to the Ministry of Interior. The decision on a long-stay visa is taken by the Council of Ministers. A person entering the country with a long-stay visa must apply for a residence card within ten days from the date of entry. The residence card is renewed annually.
- In the purpose-specific official procedure for long-stay visa applications as an entrepreneur, three passport-size identity photographs, an identity document, and cash payment are foreseen. These documents belong only to the said long-stay visa procedure for entrepreneurial purposes and should not be considered a universal checklist for other travel purposes.
- In the central fee schedule, a visa up to 5 days is 6,000 Comorian francs, a visa for 6–15 days is 12,000 Comorian francs, a single-entry visa for 16–45 days is 20,000 Comorian francs, and a double-entry visa for the same period is 30,000 Comorian francs. A multiple-entry visa valid for one year is set at 40,000 Comorian francs, and a one-year valid and renewable stay visa is set at 60,000 Comorian francs. The payment method and collection currency accepted by the mission applied to must be verified separately.

Transit Visa Requirements
- The transit traveler must present a valid national passport or a valid travel document accepted in lieu of a passport. The traveler must have a transportation ticket ensuring departure from Comoros and travel to the next country.
- A transit visa may be issued at the airport or port, and the maximum permitted transit period is five days.
- In the central schedule, a 24-hour entry visa is free of charge, and a visa valid up to five days is 6,000 Comorian francs.
