Visa-Free Entry Requirements

E-Visa Application Requirements

  • The e-visa application must be made through the electronic visa portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico. The system can only be used by applicants officially deemed eligible for an electronic visa application. The applicant must create a user account, activate their account, and complete the online form.
  • A passport or travel document that is valid and accepted under international law is required. The first and last name, date of birth, and other biographical data in the application must exactly match the information in the passport. The current application guide requires the use of only Latin characters and avoidance of accents or special characters.
  • A digital photograph showing the applicant's face must be uploaded to the application. The photograph must be without glasses and without a face mask, with a light or white background, well-lit and clear. JPG, JPEG, or PNG formats are accepted. The current 2026 application guide requires the file size to be less than 1.5 MB. The exact dimensions of the photograph in centimeters or pixels and the maximum date on which it can be taken are not explicitly specified in the central official source.
  • An image of the biographical data page of the passport or travel document must also be uploaded in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format. The image must be clear, have no light reflection, creases, or fold marks, show the entire data page within the correct frame, and be less than 1.5 MB according to the current application guide.
