Visa-Free Entry Requirements

  • Every traveler, regardless of age, must have a valid passport or travel document issued in their own name. Collective travel documents are not accepted. Foreign travelers' passports must be valid for at least six months.
  • Travelers who will pass through Singapore immigration control must submit the SG Arrival Card and electronic health declaration free of charge within three days prior to arrival, including the day of arrival. The form can be submitted via the online service or the official MyICA Mobile application. E-Visa Application Requirements

  • An electronic entry visa application can be submitted by an authorized local contact or strategic partner in Singapore via ICA's SAVE electronic service. The local contact must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident, at least 21 years old, and have a valid Singpass account. For applications for business meetings or commercial negotiations, the local contact must act on behalf of a registered commercial entity in Singapore.
  • Form 14A must be completed in full and signed by the applicant. The form declares identity and contact information, passport or travel document details, occupation, income, education, intended date of arrival, purpose of visit, expected duration of stay, accommodation address in Singapore, local contact details, and past immigration or criminal record information. Providing false, incomplete, or misleading information may result in the rejection of the application or revocation of the granted permit.
  • A photocopy or scan of the applicant's passport biographical information page must be submitted. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the intended date of entry into Singapore.   • One color, recent passport-sized photograph taken within the last three months must be submitted. The recommended size for a photograph to be uploaded to electronic services is 400 × 514 pixels.   • It is recommended to submit the application within 30 days before the intended arrival in Singapore. A non-refundable processing fee of 30 Singapore dollars is charged for each application. Online payment can be made by Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card.
  • The standard processing time is three working days, excluding the day the application is submitted. Some applications may take longer due to additional scrutiny, and the authorities may request additional documents.
  • When the application is approved, the local contact, strategic partner, or authorized visa agent can obtain a copy of the electronic visa from the system. Carrying a printed copy of the electronic visa is strongly recommended by some overseas missions; whether this is mandatory for all travelers is not definitively specified in the central official source.
  • It is possible to request the visa as single-entry, double-entry, triple-entry, or multiple-entry; the number of entries to be granted and the validity period depend on the individual assessment of the application. A single-entry visa can be used once, while a multiple-entry visa can be used multiple times within its stated validity period.

Consular Visa Application Requirements

  • Persons who do not have a suitable local contact in Singapore to submit an electronic application may submit their application to the nearest Singapore overseas mission or an authorized visa agent appointed by the mission. ICA does not accept visa applications at immigration counters at border checkpoints.
  • Whether applications are accepted directly at the mission, by appointment, or only through an authorized agent varies by country where the application is made. Transit Visa Requirements

  • A separate Singapore transit visa is not required for travelers who remain in the Singapore transit area and continue to another country without passing through immigration control. The traveler must have a boarding pass issued for the connecting flight and must not need to pass through Singapore immigration control to collect baggage, purchase a new ticket, or re-check in.
  • If the transit traveler needs to pass through Singapore immigration control, normal entry rules apply, including passport validity, entry visa, SG Arrival Card, financial sufficiency, onward travel ticket, biometric procedures, and health conditions.
  • Some visa-required transit travelers may request entry under the 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility if they meet the conditions. This arrangement is not a separate transit visa but a visa-free transit facilitation assessed at the border. The final assessment of eligibility is made by the ICA officer at the point of entry, and the duration of stay cannot be extended.
  • The traveler must be traveling to a third country via Singapore and present a valid air, ferry, or cruise ticket showing departure from Singapore within no later than 96 hours. The permitted modes of arrival and departure transport vary according to the VFTF group the traveler is subject to; in some cases, departure from Singapore must be only by air, in other cases by air or sea.
  • For some VFTF applications, a visa or long-term residence permit issued by one of the third countries accepted by ICA and valid for at least one more month on the date of entry into Singapore must be presented. If a single-entry third-country visa has been previously used, the traveler must be transiting through Singapore while returning directly from the country that issued the visa to their own country and must not have returned to their own country after using the visa.
  • A traveler who will pass through Singapore immigration control under VFTF must submit the SG Arrival Card and health declaration within three days including the day of arrival; and present at the border a personal travel document valid for at least six months, an onward travel ticket, and, if required, a third-country visa or residence permit.
  • A separate application fee, standard processing time, or pre-issued electronic approval document for VFTF is not definitively specified in the central official source.
