The OECD is a policy forum that brings together member countries to compare evidence, share standards and develop practical approaches to economic and social challenges. Its roots go back to the post-war European cooperation system, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development came into force in 1961. Today its membership spans Europe, North America, South America and the Asia-Pacific region. This page uses OECD membership as a passport comparison group without creating a separate travel regime.

Member countries participate through the Council, committees, reviews and data-driven policy discussions. The organisation does not issue a common passport and does not create a shared visa area. Each passport keeps its own national mobility profile based on separate entry rules and international arrangements.
